I’m a bit sick of websites asking me to register in order to leave comments. I don’t want to have to sign up for somewhere just to leave a comment on an article, when I probably wont leave another. Just let me put in my name, address, and URL, and let that be that. Like Disqus does. Perhaps everywhere should just use Disqus. Perhaps I should! Though I don’t require registration.

I personally just use the WordPress admin page, coupled with the Turbo setting using Google Gears for Safari Beta to try and make it a bit more snappy. But I can understand the clamour for a desktop client. I recommend giving MarsEdit or Ecto a try on Mac OSX (both are trialware), and Windows Live Writer on Windows (free). There’s also a relevant Lifehacker article with more comments and programs to try.

Try the UK, where BT’s ‘Heavy Usage’ package is 15GB a month limit. What do we have if 250GB is the end of the Internet as you know it? Stupid Americans.

Admitted Pentagon hacker Gary McKinnon lost his appeal to the European Court of Human Rights on Thursday, and is expected to be on a plane to Virginia within three weeks. But — surprise! — he’s now been diagnosed at 42 with Asperger’s syndrome, and his lawyers are asking Home Secretary Jacqui Smith to keep him in London for medical reasons.

Google Gears for Safari BETA Released
Have successfully tried it with the WordPress ‘Turbo’ option, and it appears to have worked successfully, so now I can write posts and manage my blog a little bit quicker.
